The last King of Wuerttemberg war regarded to be very down-to-earth and liked going for a walk through Stuttgart, without any personal security of course. So it is not surprising that he calls in on your team event and is in on it straight away! However, he might not have been that enthusiastic if he had known about the fate he would be facing taking part in this Kubb game. The goal of this Kubb Tournament in Stuttgart is to eliminate the King of the other team which is not as easy as it seems since he is protected by his pawns until the bitter end! This is why you first have to make them bite the dust before taking care of the King’s fate. This Scandinavian parlour game, which is also called Vikings’ chess, was already very popular among the Vikings which is why there is a vast number of possible strategies leading to the King’s elimination. As soon as you demonstrate team spirit, good marksmanship and creative solutions you will surely be the team eliminating the other King first and have a seat on his throne celebrating your glorious victory!

Royal celebrations

Beside him being down-to-earth King William II. was also known for organising spectacular celebrations in the Wilhelm Palais. Even if it might not be as royal as back then, you can nevertheless enjoy Swabian specialties and a glass of wine in one of the numerous restaurants in Stuttgart and at least experience the same celebratory mood as the King used to do.
