Declare War on the Franconian King
It seems as if Charles the Great, King of the Frankish Kingdom from 768 to 814, got a little bored in his last resting place since he suddenly appeared during your Winter Kubb Tournament in the beautiful and with snow-covered landscape in and around Nuremberg! However, he might not have known what he got himself into when he decided to take part as the main character of your Scandinavian parlour game, which is also called Vikings’ Chess. In order to be the winning team of this Kubb game, you will have to eliminate the King of your opposing team. Easier said than done, since his subjects, the pawns, defend him to the bitter end. So how can you eliminate him? With marksmanship, team spirit and team work you will surely manage and when you have ended Charlemagne’s guest appearance, you can have a seat on the (very comfortable!) throne – after all, this has just become available again!
Honouring the King
Even if the former King’s return did not last as long as he might had hoped, he has to be honoured! Drink a toast on Charles the Great with a nice glass of Franconian wine during your dinner after the event in a nice restaurant and enjoy local specialties – he would surely have liked that!
