In the Raft Building Team Event, your employees experience what real collaboration means – far away from everyday office life, surrounded by nature and with full commitment. Together, the teams build a floating raft – as a symbol of communication, trust and shared success. What makes this event so special: team spirit becomes visible, tangible and truly hands-on. When the teams launch their self-built raft into the water, it becomes clear how important clear agreements and joint action are – qualities that are essential in every company.
Raft Building with teamgeist – where collaboration leads to success and a world record
As a leading provider of raft building events in Europe, we have brought countless teams onto the water over the past decades – from project teams to large groups. In 2018, with 1,000 participants, we achieved the official Guinness World Record in the category “Most people on a raft” – an unforgettable experience and proof that together, almost anything is possible.
With experience, perfect organisation and passion for genuine team experiences, we turn your raft building event into a highlight that connects people – and creates a lasting impact.

This is what your Raft Building Team Event could look like:
14:00|Teamwork and Team Spirit
Without teamwork, this challenging task can hardly be mastered. It brings your team closer together and strengthens team spirit. Everyone contributes their individual strengths: analysing and planning, getting hands-on and building, or using creativity to design a team flag.

14:15|Strategy and Planning
As there are no building instructions, the team has to develop its own strategy. This promotes planning skills, which are also essential in everyday working life.

15:30|The Big Moment
When all the beams are tied together, the sail is raised and the paddles are ready, it is time to cast off! The exciting moment when the raft actually floats and the team can paddle it across the water creates real suspense and an emotional release.

16:00|Competition and Fun
Of course, a competition is a must: Which team paddles to the finish line the fastest? Which team has built the most creative sail? This provides extra motivation and fun.
16:30|Optional: Relaxed Get-Together
Many of our partner locations offer catering options. Whether self-catering barbecue areas or exclusive catering with a delicious buffet and fruity drinks – we help make sure your team is well looked after.

Original Brief: “Combining teamwork with the joy of shared success!”
This was the objective given to teamgeist in 2007 by one of Germany’s largest companies. The task was to develop a project for 200 top managers on and by the water, making the success of working together directly tangible. A creative team led by teamgeist founder Michael Haufe developed a completely new team raft project. It was designed to actively promote interaction and communication between participants while also being suitable for large groups. This led to the creation of a patented modular system that focuses not on building with axes, barrels or other conventional methods, but rather on skilfully bringing individual parts together to build a load-bearing and floating raft within each group. The great success became clear in the excitement when all the rafts were connected to form one large 250 m² whole. Since then, we have continuously developed this modular system and use it throughout Germany and across Europe at hundreds of raft building events every year.

World Champion in the category “Most people on a raft”
On 15 June 2018, 1,000 participants built 110 teamgeist rafts and connected them to create a huge 70 x 20 metre mega raft for the fourth Guinness World Record. Pure teamwork! For a stronger sense of togetherness!
