Construction as a Team-Building Activity

You’re probably familiar with this in your everyday office life: You work hard and long hours, but you rarely see the results of your work. When building a playhouse, for example, you can see what you’ve accomplished once the work is done—and you’ve done it as a team.

After all, among your employees and colleagues, there’s bound to be one or two who are handy or enjoy crafting and building, while others are particularly creative or have a keen eye for design. Still others excel at planning and organizing. No matter what expertise or passion your employees and colleagues bring to the table, everyone is needed when building a playhouse.The teams decide among themselves how to divide up the tasks, and then it’s time to get to work. Everyone carries out their own tasks and tries to support others with theirs. Only through teamwork can a playhouse be completed correctly and quickly. Following the successful team event, during which participants had the opportunity to get to know each other better and interact extensively, the completed playhouses will be donated to pre-selected facilities such as daycare centers, kindergartens, playgrounds, children’s homes, or other suitable institutions.
