During a team event, you are usually happy, if there is no wind around. That is different at our kite building event – here, wind is a more than welcomed guest.

During kite building, the participants are tasked with making a kite that is able to fly using the simplest equipment and creative material. It is about far more than the question of how frame, rope and fabric fit together. Within the team set-up and design are discussed and planned. After that, it is time for teamwork: While a part of the group is already tinkering with the individual pieces of the kite, the other part of the group is busy with integrating the event motto or a theme of your choice into the design creatively. That way, every kite does not only become a piece of art, but also an expression of the interaction and teamwork of its pilot team. After the teams have presented their kites to the other groups, things get serious: The suspense is building as the participants look toward the skies and watch how their constructions (hopefully) fly in the wind.

But let’s not forget about a little competition: A jury - consisting of team members - evaluates and ranks the kites with regard to creativity and flying ability. But even if you kite does not end up among the winners: Don’t be sad, because through the creative and communicative processes within the team, everybody is a winner. As souvenir and memory of this successful team day, you can of course take the kites with you. Let them fly on your company’s premises or decorate your offices with them – your employees will enjoy the view and think back to this unforgettable kite building event.
